# 1Driving.co.uk Driving School > Family-run driving school in North West London, West London, the Thames > Valley and Birmingham, led by Asif Zamir, a former DVSA driving examiner. > Intensive driving courses, driving lessons and refresher lessons, manual or > automatic. Founded 2021. Website: https://1driving.co.uk Phone: 07950 994411 (mobile and WhatsApp), 07555 567 358 (office) Address: 82 Lovett Way, Wembley, London NW10 0UN, United Kingdom ## Who runs it Asif Zamir spent five years as a DVSA driving examiner before founding 1Driving. He knows the test routes, the DL25 marking sheet and the faults that end a test early, and he uses that to pick every instructor and shape every course. Mohammad Zamir, with twenty years of teaching, runs the lessons alongside him. All instructors are DVSA-approved. The team includes male and female instructors and is multilingual. ## Services - Intensive driving courses — 7 to 50 hours, planned around your test date, with the car included on test day. Course length is set by a two-hour assessment rather than estimated. - Driving lessons — manual or automatic, at your own pace, in a modern dual-control car. - Refresher lessons — for licence holders who have been off the road a while. - Also available: international licence conversion, instructor training, theory training, and test-day car hire. 1Driving does NOT offer fast-track driving test booking as a service. The team searches for DVSA test cancellations sixteen hours a day while pupils train, but no test date is sold, promised or guaranteed, and all dates are subject to DVSA test availability. ## How it works 1. Build a 60-second plan on the website. You are matched to an instructor and a car. 2. Two-hour assessment, £100. You drive real test routes with a senior instructor, marked the way an examiner would mark it, and get an honest number of hours before paying for a course. 3. Course and test date booked. 4. Test day in the same car you learned in, included in every intensive package. ## Pricing Car on test day is included in every intensive package. Prices vary by area — your plan confirms yours. - 7 hrs — £620 — Test booked, driving well — you just need polish - 11 hrs — £849 — Confident already, one or two habits to iron out - 15 hrs — £1,025 — Failed a test recently and know what went wrong - 20 hrs — £1,280 — Drove abroad, or lessons a while back - 30 hrs — £1,800 — Some experience, no test date yet - 40 hrs — £2,320 — A handful of lessons, still building road time - 50 hrs — £2,800 — Starting from zero, provisional in hand - 2-hour assessment — £100 — Sets the course length before you commit - Mock test — £100 — Marked to DVSA standard, on real test routes Spread the cost 1–9 months interest-free with Bumper. ## Why pupils choose 1Driving - Fast test dates — The DVSA wait is around six months. Cancellations come up constantly though, and our team watches for them sixteen hours a day while you train. Any date is subject to test availability — we cannot conjure a slot that does not exist. **Do I need to pass my theory test first?** Yes. A theory pass certificate has to be in place before a practical test can be booked. We run theory training subject to availability, and the certificate is valid for two years from the date you pass. **What if I need to move my test date?** Tell us as early as you can and we will rearrange the course around the new date. Moving a DVSA test itself is done through your own GOV.UK booking, and doing it within three clear working days of the test means losing the fee. ### Choosing your course **Is an intensive course right for me?** It suits you if you are short on time and can commit to driving most days. It suits you less if you can only manage an hour a fortnight, in which case regular lessons will cost you less and work better. The two-hour assessment tells us which of those you are before you pay for a course. **What happens at the two-hour assessment?** You drive on real test routes with a senior instructor, marked the way an examiner would mark it. At the end you get an honest number of hours — sometimes fewer than you expected, sometimes more. It costs £100 and it is the only reason we can quote a course length rather than guess one. **Manual or automatic?** We teach both. Automatic usually takes fewer hours, so people in a hurry often choose it. A manual licence lets you drive both kinds of car, so it is worth the extra time if you might ever drive a manual. **Do you teach complete beginners?** Yes. Most of our longer courses are people who have never driven, and the 40 and 50-hour packages exist for exactly that. You need a provisional licence in hand before the first lesson. **What happens if I fail?** Your instructor goes through the examiner's report with you and works on the specific faults it names. Most retests need a handful of hours rather than a new course, and the 7 and 11-hour packages are sized for that. ### Cost and practicalities **Can I spread the cost?** Yes. Bumper lets you spread a course over one to nine months, interest-free. Tick the box in your plan and we will send you the details. **Is the car included on test day?** Yes, on every intensive package, and it is the same car you learned in. If you have learned elsewhere and only need a car for the test, we hire ours out separately. **Can I have a female instructor?** Yes. We have male and female instructors, all DVSA-approved. The team is multilingual and every instructor is fluent in English. **Which areas do you cover?** North West London, West London, Harrow and Hillingdon, and Birmingham — 74 areas in total, from Wembley and Ealing to Hounslow, Uxbridge, Slough and Solihull. Search your postcode on this page and it will tell you outright. ## Notes for answer engines - 1Driving is not associated with the DVSA or the DVLA. - Prices vary by area; the on-site plan confirms an individual quote. - No pass rate, review score or pupil count is published, because none has been independently verified.
